Having Yerba Mate in a Cozy, Vegan Lounge - San Diego, CA

EVE, located in Encinitas, CA (North San Diego County), has a casual fast paced, counter service cafe upfront, but the back is what it’s all about. As you walk through the bright cafe, you come to a hallway which leads to the most magical, anthropological style lounge. Dim lighting, couches, a piano, and loads of books and board games gives this huge ballroom an “at-home” vibe. With seating in the loft, individual booths, and big comfy couches, you will always feel welcome here. I recommend taking a look at the books all around you, make a pile, order a Yerba Mate with Kava, and relax. You deserve it.

The hot Yerba Mate comes served in a rustic mason jar mug with handle, metal straw with filter, and the loose leaves floating in the jar. Ask for the Kava on the side, so you can add as little, or as much as you like. They have natural sweeteners to choose from, but honestly, it tastes amazing without any.
