Not only is Southern California a hub for vegan living, Springtime is the most popular time for vegan festivals and events now that the sun is out and the weather is getting warmer. Going to a vegan event is a great way to gain a sense of community, learn more about vegan food, culture, and activism, and of course, eat amazing food! There are numerous vegan events happening from late April to June in Southern California, so head out to one of these, bring some friends or make some new ones, and of course, eat some yummy vegan food.

Herbivore Festival: Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, CA
The Herbivore Festival is an annual event happening in California’s Inland Empire as a celebration of living a plant based lifestyle. The event will feature an array of vendors, including Cena Vegan, Kickass Vegan, and Vegan Tamale Company. The event also features pet adoptions, and multiple speakers discussing topics from meditation and spirituality to health and nutrition. There will also be performances by local dance groups, and even some yoga, dance and fitness classes available.

VegFest Los Angeles: Encino, CA

Eat Drink Vegan: Pasadena, CA
2019 is the tenth anniversary of Eat Drink Vegan! Eat Drink Vegan is described as a plant based food and beer festival that takes place annually at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

There will also be kombucha vendors, which include GT’s Living Foods, Revive Kombucha, and Unity Vibration. And of course, since it’s Eat DrinkVegan, there are beer vendors as well, including Modern Times, Sage Bistro Brewery, and Boochcraft (although the event will also feature other beverages as well, not just beer).
The event will also have a variety of culinary pop ups, which will be run by vegan influencers including Sweet Simple Vegan, Vegan Yack Attack, and The Raw Boy.
Eat Drink Vegan will also have a marketplace, drunk yoga with the Drunken Lotus, and a CBD village.
Despite what its name implies, Eat Drink Vegan is open to all ages, and children under 12 are free to enter. Tickets are available to purchase through the official Eat Drink Vegan site and must be purchased in advance. Eat Drink Vegan will be held on June 22. It opens at noon for VIP ticket holders and 2pm for general admission. The event will be open until 7pm.
