Top 10 Things to do in LA This December (vegan friendly)

When planning a trip to Los Angeles, CA, it can be hard to decide what to do! The city is so big, and there are so many shows, activities, and attractions to choose from, it can become quite over whelming. Don't worry, though! This Top 10 list of things to do in LA this December will make it so much easier for you and your travel buddies to make plans, rather than stressing about doing everything.

10. Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker - Dec 19th

This annual performance is one that anyone can enjoy, young or old! The Moscow Ballet does a spectacular job at engaging the audience right from the start. They are known for their grand stage presence, and glorious costumes. The ticket prices range from around $70-$470. You can purchase tickets here.


09. Wicked! - Nov 28th-Jan 27th

Enjoy one of the many showings of the ever so popular, Wicked! while on your Winter trip to Los Angeles. The musical is known for its memorable songs, and perfectly dramatic characters. 08. Ice at Santa Monica - Nov 3rd-Jan 21st

It's the most wonderful time of the year! When Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade sets up their ice skating rink for people to have winter-filled fun in a place that will never get snow. It's only $15 for skate rental and all day admission, and they have private classes for folks who don't know how to glide on the ice. You can find more info here.

07. Rent an Electric Duffy Boat

Marina del Rey is surrounded by many different in-the-water rental options, but one of my favorites is renting a duffy boat for 1-2 hours! It's perfect for a small group wanting to experience being on the water. If you go out during the day, it may be pretty warm, but if you go at sunset, you'll have the prettiest photos (and it'll be a bit more chilly). You can find more info here.

06. Marvel at the Wax Figures in Madame Tussauds Hollywood

Take photos with your celebrity crush, and favorite stars just off the Hollywood Blvd Walk of Fame! Included in the museum are stars like: Elvis Presley, Marvel Superheroes, Frankenstein's Monster, and so much more. 05. Experience Grand Park's Winter Glow - Dec 1st-25th

"The Downtown park is taking advantage of this time of year’s ever-shortening daylight with a light-up activation that brings a bit of warmth to the area. Go listen to Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward sing some Christmas classics in their easy, breezy, comforting tones. This event would be perfect for the solo traveler and group alike! Ticket prices range from $40.50-$90.50, and you can purchase them here.


03. Enchanted: Forest of Light - Until Jan 6th

Experience the beautiful forest, called the Forest of Light! Located in Descanso Gardens, make it a night to remember with your kids and/or loved ones. It is about a 1 mile loop around the forest, so wear your best tennis shoes, and bring a light jacket (just in case it gets chilly). You can find more info and ticket prices here.


02. Haunted Tales of Downtown Los Angeles - Until Dec 27th

If you're in a spooky mood, you can head downtown to learn about all the haunted places around DTLA. It's a 2 hour tour, so definitely bring some comfortable walking shoes, and light jacket. Also, be sure to stick with your group! You can find more info and book a tour here.

01. Celebrate New Year's Eve at The W

The W hotel has a rooftop lounge with 360 views of the Downtown LA skyine, which makes it the perfect spot for New Year's Eve! With a rooftop pool, bar, and private cabanas, you can enjoy time with a big group, or your special someone. Book in advance here.
